TeamBinder Hosting Options

TeamBinder is typically provided as:

ASP MODEL

QA Software or their partners host TeamBinder in a secure third-party hosting facility. QA Software provide all the hardware and software to run TeamBinder and provide all support, maintenance and backup services as part of a monthly fee. This option is ideal when: 

• Fast Implementation is required as a new project can be up and running within hours.
• This is your first TeamBinder project and you want to use TeamBinder with the minimum upfront investment (since no software or hardware is required)
• Your company has limited in-house IT support capability since this option requires no IT support from the customer other than making sure users have internet access.
• Maximum reliability and availability are required since TeamBinder is hosted at a site with large internet bandwidth and with quality maintenance and all data is backed up daily and can be recovered in the case of a calamity.

Other hosting options available include:

LEASE MODEL

QA Software or their partners provide dedicated hardware and software for you and host this for you in their secure production centres. This means your projects are on dedicated hardware and totally separated from other customers. A separate URL is provided to access the system. With this option again a monthly fee applies but in this case it is higher than with the ASP Model since it covers the provision of dedicated hardware and software. However for a customer running numerous projects this option can be more cost effective than the ASP model as the per project fees are lower. This option is ideal when:

• You want to self host TeamBinder but do not have the in-house IT resources to support and maintain the hardware and software. QA Software continue to manage the installation, providing backup servers and maintenance.
• Your long term plan is to self host but you are not yet ready. The Lease option, as with the ASP model, requires no up front investment (although there is a minimum contract term); and when you are ready, the server can be moved from our facilities to the customer’s facilities simplifying the implementation process.
• You have numerous projects (in which case this option can be more cost effective than the ASP Model) and would prefer, for data security, the comfort of knowing your data is on its own hardware.
• You want to run a company branded version of TeamBinder.

ENTERPRISE MODEL

With this model, you self host TeamBinder on your own infrastructure or on that of a third party of your choice. This option is ideal when:

• You prefer to have the hardware and software totally under your own control.
• Want to use TeamBinder as a corporate standard (as this option can in the long term be more cost effective than the above two options for larger customers although with this option there is an upfront investment in hardware, software and licensing fees).
• You want to run a company branded version of TeamBinder.

With this option, QA Software can provide:

• Consultation during the setup of the TeamBinder server.
• On Site Installation and ongoing support if required.
• Training of internal IT staff to do general maintenance and support.
• Customisation, setup and configuration.
• Upgrade Services.
